After a rough night with rain and snow even on the Slovenian Coast, where we rarely see it, Izola awoke in a cloudless day, with a light Bora (NW). Just a few hours later, with the first cloud, all hopes died.

Snow in the inland has made a great difference, according to the forecasts. Instead of lighter Southern winds, Bora (NE) reapeared on the third racing day in the Gulf of Trieste. Both RC have delayed todays racing until noon.

Todays SE winds gave the participants of the 21st Izola Spring Cup nearly the whole range  that can be expected in this region.

For the twenty one years young sailors come to Izola spring cup to enjoy early spring sailing.
This year 165 competitors from 12 country came to enjoy on Slovenian coast.
First day offered some sunny sailing in medium to strong bora (NE) wind, which faded away towards the afternoon.

More than two decades ago members of Yacht Club BURJA in Izola, have organized a regatta, in the Spring time, when most of the North European sailors do not have suitable conditions for sailing, which is now called the IZOLA SPRING CUP.
