IZOLA SPRING CUP 2010 ISAF Grade 2 event for 470 men, 470 women ISAF Grade 3 event for Laser men, Laser radial women   1 – 5 April 2010 Izola - Slovenia

1.    RULES
1.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 The prescriptions of Slovenian Sailing Federation will not apply.

2.    ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
The Regatta is open to all boats of following classes:
2.1 Olympic classes
      Laser standard (men), Laser radial (women), 470 (men and women),
2.2.  Other classes
      Laser radial (men), Laser 4.7 (men and women), 420 (open)

3.    ENTRIES AND HOSPITALITY
3.1 Entries shall be made on the official entry form either by fax, by post or by e-mail to the following address:

The fully completed entry form should be received at the above mentioned entry address not later than 1^th April 2010.
3.2 There must be a minimum of 10 entries in each class on 25^th March. In case of less than 10 entries, organizing committee will cancel the regatta for this class and notice all the competitors by e-mail.
3.3 Teams ranked in the Top 10 on the most recent ISAF World Olympic Rankings are exempted from paying the entry fee provided they have entered no later than 25^th March.

4.    FEES
The following entry fee will be charged:
Single handed dinghies:                 70 EUR
Double handed dinghies:                100 EUR

Any entry received after Thursday 25^th March 2010 will be charged 50% higher entry fee.

5.    PAYMENT OF FEES
The above mentioned fees must be paid at on-site registration prior to competing in the 23^rd Izola Spring Cup.

6.    SCHEDULE OF RACES AND SOCIAL EVENTS

Reserve day will be used only if there will less than three races on the last day of regatta.

7.    MEASUREMENT
Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate. Prior to the races all sails may be measured, authorized by Class Rules and stamped by the Measurement Committee.

8.    SAIL NUMBERS
Boats shall use the approved Nationality Code Letters in their sails as required by RRS. In alteration of their Class Rules, their national letters on the sails shall apply for any class.

9.    ON SITE REGISTRATION
9.1 Competitors and Team Leaders shall complete on-site registration at the Race Office of YC Burja Izola from Thursday, 1^st April 16:00 hrs to Friday, 2^nd April at 09:00 hrs. Competitors not registered until Friday, 2^nd April at 09:00 will not be entered.
9.2 To register all competitors shall present to the Registration Office:
      - a valid membership card to his/her MNA, if any;
      - Measurement Certificate and Measurement Form of the boat;
      - advertising License Card of his/her MNA, if any;
      - Insurance Certificate
9.3 Sailing Instructions will be available at on-site registration.

10. ADVERTISING
10.1 The ISAF Advertising Code shall apply.
10.2 Boats may be required to display a bow number and advertising stickers of the event sponsor on either side on the forward 25% of the hull.

11. VENUE
There will be 2 course areas in front of Izola.

12. PENALTY SISTEM
Decisions of the jury will be final as provided in rule 70.5.

13. SCORING SYSTEM
Three races are required to be completed to constitute a series.

14. RIGHT TO USE NAME AND LIKENESS
Participating in the 23^rd Izola Spring Cup any competitor automatically grants to the Organizing Authority and the sponsors of the 23^rd Izola Spring Cup, the right in perpetuity, to make, use and show, from time to time and at their discretion, any motion pictures and live, taped or film television and other reproductions of him/her during the period of the competition for the said 23^rd Izola Spring Cup in which the competitor participates and in all material related to the said 23^rd Izola Spring Cup without compensation.

15. PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors in each event.

16. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.

17. INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance.
